Gaming technology company Digitain has announced a major expansion into two European markets that will boost its foothold in the European gaming sector.
The company, which has been engaged in a period of global expansion, is set to launch its products in the European markets of Romania and Portugal. This development will enhance their international reach, which includes sportsbook software, tracking and sports data systems and a casino aggregation product, among other areas.
Speaking about the announcement, the Compliance Manager at Digitain, Nora Galstyan, said that it was another stage in the company’s ambitious plan to expand internationally:
“The debuts allow us to further enlarge our operator network, giving a range of Portuguese and Romanian operators the chance to service their sportsbook with one of the most respected global platforms on the market.”
The news comes soon after Digitain earned an accreditation from Gaming Associates, which will enable the company to provide access to its digital sportsbook in those EU-based markets where national regulators do not carry out individual gambling sector compliance checks.
Digitain’s betting platform offers an interface that can work with multiple currencies and languages. It can also be customised by operators and integrated into existing systems. This has proven attractive to many European operators, who have been able to add the Digitain technology to their land-based and online betting operations, regardless of the firm’s physical location.
Digitain’s newest partnership also comes not long after the company was granted a B2B licence by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) earlier this month. That licence gave Digitain the ability to supply a variety of betting companies regulated by the MGA, and further boosted its global reach. The company earned the green light to launch in Romania back in December last year, when the Romanian National Gambling Office gave it a licence.
