Asian betting operator V9Bet has landed a coup with its new brand ambassador announcement, having signed up the former Uruguay and Manchester United striker Diego Forlan.
The former international is V9Bet’s first brand ambassador and he will take on the role of promoting the operator throughout the Asia region. He will also be offering his thoughts and comments ahead of this summer’s Euro 2020 tournaments and will be attending the tournament during July.
Discussing his appointment as brand ambassador, Forlan said that V9Bet were a young and lively operator in the market and a leader in sports betting. He added that it was his pleasure to be their ambassador, and that he would be representing their image, spirit and brand.
During an illustrious playing career, Forlan won the Pichichi Trophy as top goalscorer in the Spanish league, while playing for Villarreal in 2005 and Atletico Madrid in 2009, landing the European Golden Boot award in both of those years. He also had spells with Manchester United and with Internazionale and is currently the head coach of Club Atletico Penarol in Montevideo.
Set up in 2012, V9Bet have developed a reputation for sports betting in a number of regulated markets, providing betting markets on more than 500 different leagues across numerous provinces and regions. They also offer virtual sports betting, slots, lottery and live casino games for customers.
Speaking about the signing of Forlan, a spokesperson for the brand said that they were proud to announce the former striker as their brand ambassador. The spokesperson added that they hoped that he would bring additional assurance and trust to their reputation.
