Gambling companies in the US state of Indiana will be able to draw on the services of a new operator following their entry into the state’s betting sector.
KAX Media America Inc, which is a subsidiary of global operator Gambling.com Group Plc, will be able to offer services to gambling operators in Indiana, having gone through the application processes to gain the approval of the state regulator, the Indiana Gaming Commission
Indiana has a thriving sports supporting base, as it plays host to a number of both college and professional sports teams, as well as the famous Indianapolis 500 race. The popularity of sport in the state is one of the main reasons, according to the firm, for seeking to gain a foothold in the region. According to the Chief Executive, Charles Gillespie, the fact that the state also offers betting customers the chance to bet on their mobiles is another good reason to focus efforts on Indiana:
“Now having gone live with business deals with operators in Indiana, the Group continues to solidify its position at the forefront of the growing US market.”
The state also benefits from the fact that the neighbouring states are yet to fully regulate their sports betting markets. That means sports betting customers are travelling from Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan to bet on their favourite sports in the state, providing plenty of impetus to sports betting in the stage.
Commenting on the potential for the state’s sports betting business, the Vice President of US Business at Gambling.com, Max Bichsel, said that he expected competition to continue to thrive in the state, given that the regulators allow multiple operators to work in the market.
And Indiana is not the only state where Gambling.com Group has been seeking to make an impact. Earlier this year, it gained approval to enter the West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets.
