PokerStars, an Amaya Inc. gaming and gambling brand, has launched an attractive new product for sports betting in the UK.

The PokerStarts 7 software will soon be available to take wagers on a limited number of sports including football, tennis, basketball, rugby and ice hockey.

According to a representative of the company, the sports betting feature will be rolled out by the end of the year.

At present, the company is conducting beta testing prior to the roll-out in specific markets.

PokerStars, along with Full Tilt, was a part of the Rational Group when the group was acquired by Amaya Inc in 2014 in keeping with the gambling industry trend of mega mergers to offer better services to customers.

Already with a well-established customer base among dedicated poker players, PokerStars will now get into the lucrative and exciting business of sports betting.

The sports betting business will be based out of the PokerStars head office, which is based in the Isle of Man.

Senior managers at Amaya have worked out a strategy whereby existing customers at PokerStars and Full Tilt can be sold a wide range of online gaming products.

In fact, this is an essential part of the company’s growth strategy and one that motivated the purchase of the Rational Group.

At the PokerStars office, plans are afoot to launch a brand new campaign that gives the new product a great deal of coverage.

Even though it offers very limited sports now, information on the website indicates that coverage will increase to include many more sports in the near future.

There has been a great deal of interest in the new initiative from PokerStars, even though only a beta version has been launched.

Customers can use the site to place wagers on the upcoming English FA Cup final, which will be hotly contested by Aston Villa and Arsenal.

PokerStars has always been an enthusiastic user of the latest technology to ensure that customers enjoy high quality gaming and gambling.

PokerStars 7 uses state of the art programming to ensure that customers can use it with the maximum convenience from a PC or even mobile devices featuring Android and iOS operating systems.

Further, existing customers of PokerStars can use their login details in case they want to access sports betting without having to go through the trouble of creating a brand new account.

People do not like having to maintain separate login accounts on sites because passwords are simply too difficult to remember. So, this is a great feature for existing PokerStars members.

Considering that PokerStars is already a big name in the online gaming world, it will be interesting to see how successful this new initiative is.

While there is quite a bit of enthusiasm concerning this sports gambling feature, there are also reservations regarding the terms that the site may offer to gamblers.

Many of the existing sports books start to limit the actions of customers, especially if they have managed to win very big.

Even so, previous experience indicates that PokerStars will make a big success of this initiative as well.
